This service has been terminated, the University of Bergen no longer offers a webproxy for external usage.
To access restricted library resources from outside campus you must
- Turn off the usage of www-cache.uib.no
To remove proxy settings (the usage of www-cache.uib.no) see Edit -> Preferences -> How to connect to Internet: Remove references to www-cache.uib.no and choose "No Proxy"

Use bibliotekportalen (library portal) to find the resources, bibliotekportalen will automatically connect to the proxy server (Ezproxy) when needed, and will prompt you for your username and password at UiB.For more information about off campus access to library resources, bibliotekportalen will help you with access to Electronic Resources

Set up VPN or contact IT-avdelingen (+47 55 58 00 00) if you need help.
